Sarah's Birthday

I have been a little behind on posting. We had Sarah's seventh birthday in September. She had alot of fun. The Murdochs came over and we had a party. She got some new clothes, beads, yoyo, a barbie, and a radio. She seemed to have lots of fun. She didn't want a big fancy cake. She wanted a cherry upside down cake. I also made coconut cupcakes for those that didn't like cherries. It was a good day. Pictures to come shortly.

School

We are now three weeks into school and settling into a routine. The kids are all doing well. We had the open house for the middle school last night. Scott and Kylie's teachers all said they are very bright exceptional students. They are both in the advance math class and really enjoying it. Kylie is doing band, choir, and drama this year. She is going to be very busy. Scott is doing band and that seems to be enough for him. Jason and Sarah will have their open house next week. But as far as I can tell they are both doing well. Jason enjoys being the oldest as they walk home from school, he now gets to boss Sarah around. Melissa should be starting"pretty school" soon.(That is what she calls preschool) She keeps me busy during the day. I am not sure what I am going to do with a few hours to myself. Jeremy is still at Sears and going to school. He has finals this week so it is a bit more stressful. He stays really busy with work, school, and his church calling. Well we are all doing well and plugging right along happy to be heading into a beautiful New England Fall.

July Birthdays

July is full of birthdays for us. It gets a little crazy sometimes. We had cubscout camp and then the boys went off to sleep away camp. So we had to squeeze birthday celebrations in there. The boys have requested next year that they get seperate birthdays. So we will see what we can do about that. We had the Murdochs come over ate a little cake, opened a few presents, and had a pretty good time.

Summer Fun

Here is a little update on the Hazen clan. Kylie is back from Camp Coniston. She had alot of fun and made some new friends. The boys are attending the day camp for cub scouts this week. They seem to really be enjoying it. They leave on Sunday for their week long sleep away camp. It will be really quiet. Poor Jeremy has to deal with all the girls. Sarah has a week left of summer school. She is doing well and hopefully it will help with the transition to secong grade. They will be testing her for dyslexia. She seems to really struggle sometimes. Melissa is getting inot whatever she can. She does a great job at irritating whichever of her siblings are around. We have had a very wet summer. We have only been swimming once, but hopefully it will dry up a bit. We will be moving soon, not sure where yet. So keep us in your prayers that we can find a suitable place. Jeremy is starting some new classes again. He is doing really well and I am very proud of him. Well that should catch everybody up. Hope everyone is having a great summer.

Artist

Well it seems we can add one more thing to the list of Kylie's talent. It would appear that she can also paint. I was really impressed by her picture. She also made a smaller version that she turned into a paper weight for Jeremy for Father's Day.

Cake

Here is my most recent creation. I made it for the dessert auction at church to raise money for the youth. It was alot of fun. I have discovered I really enjoy making cakes.

Kylie's First Youth Temple Trip!

I cannot belive she is so big.She went on her first temple trip this month. SHe really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back. One of the leaders said she was absolutely glowing when she came out. I am so amazed at what an incredible young woman she is turning out to be. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful person as my daughter.

Where Oh Where Has My Little Sheep Gone?

Melissa got to visit a farm recently with a few of her friends. They got to see a baby lamb that was just hours old. SHe loved holding it. She had so much fun chasing the sheep all over the hill. She actually asked if she could sllepover with the baby lamb. Her only complaint was the sheep that pooped on her finger. We had to use a view wipes to get it clean. All in all it was a great time. She can't wait to go back.

Kylie's Birthday

Well Kylie turned 12 this week. I can't believe that she is that big. She had her interview with the bishop and will go to young women's this Sunday. It is so hard to believe that she is that old. Since it was her 12th birthday we let her have a big party. So she chose a karaoke slummber party. Melissa and Sarah had a sleepover at a friends. The boys went to a movie with Jeremy. So Kylie and her friends could have lots of fun without all the other kids. I was seranaded too for hours. They had alot of fun. Here are a few pictures to see just how much fun.

Our Singing Star!

Kylie was recently in a talent show at her school. She did a great job. She sang Taylor Swift's Love Story. She did an aewsome job. She is also going to a Trills and Thrills singing competition with a select group from her school. They will be going to Great Escape in Lake George, NY. I cannot believe how big she is getting.

Easter

We had alot of fun coloring eggs and getting ready for Easter. The Easter bunny brought lots of candy for everybody. Along with a few toys. Easter was exciting we lost power for most of the day. It came back on just in time to cook the ham. We were getting a bit worried. All in all though we had a great day. Hope everybody else had a great day.

Happy Birthday Melissa !!

We celebrated Melissa's fourth birthday on Sunday and she had a blast. She got her princess castle cake that she wnated desperatley. She also got an array of girlie presents. I cannot believe how big she is getting. Somedays I think ahe is 20 not 4. She acts so big and grown up. She always comes up with funniest things to say and do. I am so thankful that I get to be a stay at home mom and spend all this time with her. I would hate to miss any of it.

The Queen !

Here is Melissa in her diva/queen mode. She loves being the center of attention. She is such a little entertainer.

Christmas Morning

What a Christmas !!

Santa was extremely kind to us this year. I suspect that the kids bribed him somehow or maybe it was blackmail. Either way they had a great christmas. They all seemed to get the things they wanted most. Kylie got her new mp3 player, her ears pierced, makeup, and lots of girlie stuff. Scott got his remote control helicopter, WII Star Wars Lego game, amd lots of fun boy things. Jason got a remote control truck, helicopter, legos, and more toys than he needed. Sarah got a Webkinz, An Amazing Allyson Doll, lots of barbies, and many other fun things. Melissa got her 4 baby dolls, A THRONE( you heard me right a throne) She sits in it and shouts orders at the kids. She recieved lots of dressup things. She truly is a princess now. I got a beautiful necklace from Jeremy that has I Love You written in 240 languages. He always gets me the greatest gifts. He got an mp3 player and Firefly.
